Professor of Physiology
Chettinad Hospital & Research Institute, Chennai .

“ In the current era of "Publish for promotion" from "Publish or Perish" all of us are in a hurry to get our article published in any journal. With volume of hard work gone into our work a little more improvement in the style of our presentation and use of appropriate statistical tests would definitely get our works published in reputed peer reviewed indexed journal. India basically lacks good publication from the medical fraternity. This mission of these doctors who have penchant for research and quality writing would be a much needed boon for the medical scientists to get better visibility in the form of publication in high impact journal.”

I have known Dr Prathiba (Prathi) & her sibling Dr Jayashree (J, as I call her) for a good number of years now. I met them quite casually when I was meeting Dr Muthu (Prathi's husband) for some discussion. Interestingly the meeting gave way to other avenues later wherein I started working closely with Prathi for manuscript reviewing & editing for the books published by my company Wolters Kluwer Health (India). I have come to know, apart from a Physiologist, there is an excellent editor & writer in Prathi. Her work was appreciated by the authors who urged their forthcoming books to be edited by her. After seeing her work, we invited her to be a contributor in one of the what we call "Classics of Physiology" - the Best & Taylor Physiology book. Her sincerity, dedication and commitment in adhering to timelines is something commendable. I have been a follower of the blog run by Prathi & J, which is a testimonial by itself for their writing & editorial skills. As a friend, I wish them the very best and a great success in all their endeavours

It has been a wonderful and cherishing experience to work with Dr. Jeyasree. She makes everything so comfortable and easy to us and more than that she is available each and everytime till the job is completed. Moreover, she is a fantastic and dedicated teacher. Because of her I could reach a level when my results were just checked and submitted without any further corrections by her. As a clinician it has been a great honour to learn the art of statistics from her. We together submitted some good research work for two consecutive years at the world's top most DDW (Digestive Diseases Week) conference in United States. Words apart, you can just know more about once you start working with her I am glad to see her progress and wish her all success in every step of her career....

Dr. Amarjeet Singh MD

Professor, School of Public Health,
PGIMER, Chandigarh.

It is my pleasure to introduce the team of two sisters Dr. Jeyashree and Dr. Prathibha. I have known Dr. Jeyashree for the past five years in PGIMER, Chandigarh. She has been a co-editor of two of my textbooks; “Health Promotion- The need for public health activism” and “Care of Elderly in India”. I have observed her commendable writing skills while she worked with me on various scientific publications, including a BMJ case report. Her scientific writing skills are excellent and her training during her MD in Community Medicine has honed her expertise in data analysis as well. Dr. Prathibha has helped me in designing the cover pages of few of my books. She is a person with amazing creativity. Her sincere commitment to complete work on time is an additional asset. Both Prathibha and Jeyashree have an admirable command over the English language as was appreciable in their blogging venture - The Three Little Women. Having known them for quite some time I was patiently expecting some creative endeavor from them. It was worth the wait

Edit n Stat is a novel venture and is in fact the need of the hour. I would call it a futuristic endeavor given the increasing interest (or pressure?) among medical fraternity to publish scientific literature. Very often we receive comments from editors of journals about poor quality of grammar and statistics in research from developing countries. In the context of poor quality of research text doled out by budding medical researchers from India and other non-English speaking countries, Edit n Stat’s offer to provide requisite services is commendable.

There is no doubt that the team of Edit n Stat are well equipped with the skills to pursue this effort and I wish them success.
